Lopez's double-double lands him Liga MB Player of the Week award

26-year old forward Adonis Lopez (F-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for Brujos and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 21 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed Santa Ana (#8, 1-5) with 24-point margin 80-56. Brujos maintains the 3rd position in Salvadorean Liga MB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Brujos will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Lopez had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Brujos' top player in his first season with the team. Lopez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 13.8rpg) and averages solid 3.0bpg and 60.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Elian Torres (201-G/F-2000) of Santa Tecla. He is Dominican Rep. swingman in his first season at Santa Tecla. In the last game Torres recorded impressive double-double of 16 points and 19 rebounds. Of course he led Santa Tecla to another comfortable win outscoring Chalchuapa (#9, 0-4) 103-75. This victory allowed Santa Tecla to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Torres is a newcomer at Santa Tecla and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Miguel Velez (185-G/F-1997) of Chalchuapa (#9). Velez got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Velez's great performance Chalchuapa lost 75-103 to the higher-ranked Santa Tecla (#6, 2-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Chalchuapa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Velez has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.8ppg (6th best) and assists with 5.3apg (7th best). Miguel Velez has also Salvadorean passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
